Yes, we were packed again with interviews. Thanks to all the help from Stephanie Chin. We had more interviews than planned but it was all good.
First off, we met up with Nick Willshir and Alyson Hau. Nick works as a entertainment jack-of-all-trades in Hong Kong. We were very lucky to meet up with him.
He was the first to be interviewed. I could see how he is a man who understands how to get things done. His friend and colleague, Alyson Hau, is a singer, DJ, and much much more.
Alyson, originally from Hong Kong, was a confident, interesting, and interested woman. In the brief interview, she talked about her own views on making dreams into reality.
After the first two interviews, Stephanie Chin was waiting for us in a revolving restaurant which had some spectacular views of Hong Kong.
At the restaurant, Althea and Raymond were both waiting to be interviewed. We wanted to interview in the restaurant but made a mistake of asking if we could do it. Stephanie told me if we didn't ask and just filmed than it might have been possible.
This seems like the rule in Asia. If you ask to film in a restaurant, the restaurant doesn't want to give permission because they don't know how long and what you are filming. It is safer to say no but if you just begin filming. The restaurant workers won't know if you are just tourists or professionals and it is actually rude of them to ask you if it is professional or just for fun. It is all logical in a certain way.
With the restaurant a no-go, we headed to do some guerilla filmmaking. There was an express elevator which was not heavily used because it slow-express nature.
Althea Tan was the first up with two minutes windows to be interviewed. She talked about her own pet and animal rights abuses by the Hong Kong government. There was a lot of passion behind her words.
Next up Raymond Tin, a history teacher and world traveler, was an contemplative person who really took the question to heart.
After taking some shots from the revolving restaurant, we headed back to the hotel to meet up with Paul Lung. Paul, a designer and artist, was an amazing man who truly opened his heart to this question. Definitely watch his clip in the footage gallery.
So the day had a varied group of people but again everyone
is answering the same question with a deep sense of wonder and searching.
